I presume the error message you get is when you are installing the XenServer software?

Were you able to see the logs? Maybe connect the VMDK to another virtual machine and try and view the installation logs

The other thing I would do is MD5 check the ISO media, just in case it's causing you problems.

One other question would be what kind of processor does your vSphere 4 box have?

Re: How to run Citrix XenServer 5.5 on VMware vSphere

I received error:
Unrecoverable error has occurred. The details of the error ca be found in the log file. You run this by typing ./hbaapitest within the service console. It gives an output of all the standard SNIA information. Good for troubleshooting!

Re: How to: Install QLogic HBA Libraries for HP Insight Manager on ESX 3.5 / 4

Thanks,

so more of high level info about vendor name, WWPN etc about the HBA?

Re: How to: Install QLogic HBA Libraries for HP Insight Manager on ESX 3.5 / 4

HP Insight Manager will not show you the health or status of the HBA's in your ESX server without these API libraries installed.

These do not affect the operation or functionality of the HBA's, it's purely for monitoring.

Re: How to: Install QLogic HBA Libraries for HP Insight Manager on ESX 3.5 / 4

what do you use these APIs for?
what types of HBA functionality do you use with these APIs using insight manager?

Re: BlueBear - The Curious Cub 0.02 - Beta Invites

If you have any invites left, I would be interested in.
